It means exchange of international experiences, cooperation beyond all borders, technical know-how, structures of action, meeting of comrades from all over the world – these are topics which will become more and more important for all rescue organizations in the future.
FIRE BRIGADES – RESCUING, SALVAGING, EXTINGUISHING, PROTECTING!
These words are the symbol for being in action and readiness to make sacrifices for civil protection. Exactly this idea especially connects members of the fire brigades all over the world.
THE RALLY OF THE FIRE BRIGADES
That means to spent some days with comrades from all over the world every two years. Technical lectures, exhibition of equipment, old-timer tours, action simulations and other wide and alternative information are offered. Joint events such as sporting competitions, excursions, sight-seeing tours, a festive atmosphere and the taste of local traditions are the entertaining part of the meeting.
ORGANIZATION MEANS SURVIVE
Organization is most important for an efficient rescue service. That’s the reason why the IFSO also settled certain rules for achieving the aim of this international meetings of fire brigades. A special badge shows the solidarity of all fire brigades participating in this meetings. Every fire brigade in the world can apply for organizing such an event. The permanent IFSO- office in Krumpendorf am Wörthersee, Austria, is led by our secretary Heinz Kernjak, from which you can get further information.
