of the International Fire Brigade Rally Organization (IFSO)
The statutes were installed on occasion of the VI. Int. Fire Brigade Rally by the conference of delegates on 2.6.1984. Amendment of terms: conference of chairmanship 9.10.1993 as well as 20.4.1996, 20.5.2000 and 27.4.2002
Article I – Purpose of the International Fire Brigade Rallies
(§1) Purpose of Int. Fire Brigade Rallies: meeting comrades from all over the world; exchange of experiences; sporting competitions; technical lectures; exhibition of equipment.
(§2) The Int. Fire Brigade Rally takes place every 2 years in various countries of the world. All fire brigades of the world, their families and friends, all the people interested in fire fighting are invited to participate in these rallies.
(§3) Head office of the organization is based in Krumpendorf, Austria, Europe.

Structure and task of the chairmanship
- Each Fire Brigade who has organized an Int. Fire Brigade Rally has the right to nominate two members in the chairmanship. Those Fire Brigades who are selected to organize the coming rallies are also allowed to nominate two members in the chairmanship.
- Krumpendorf Fire Brigade as the founder of the Int. Fire Brigade Rally acts as chairman.
- The year before the next rally the chairmanship meets in the city where the rally will take place.
- For decisions the presence of more than half of the members of the chairmanship is necessary. All decisions need the simple majority. Each Fire Brigade that has been nominated to the chairmanship has the right of one vote. The chairman and the Secretary General also have one vote each.
- Additional meetings are possible at the request of the simple majority of chairmanship members (application has to be presented to the Secretary General).
- Each chairmanship-Fire Brigade should nominate two members to these meetings.
- If desired by members of the chairmanship also members of other organizations are allowed to attend these meetings, but they have no vote.
Assigned task:
- Determining and modifying the statutes
- Installing modalities for decorations and awards
- Installing rules for organizing the rallies
- The chairmanship examines the candidates for coming rallies
- Cooperations with similar organizations
- All problems concerning the development of the Int. Fire Brigade Rally
- financial monitoring of the Int. Fire Brigade Rally Organization
- fixing the contribution to Int. Fire Brigade Rally Organization (each organizer of an Int. Fire Brigade Rally has to pay an amount to the Head Office)

Secretary of the Int. Fire Brigade Rally Organization
The permanent office of IFSO is situated in Krumpendorf at the fire department. Krumpendorf Fire Brigade also nominates the Secretary General out of its members. Tasks of the permanent office:
- contact point for any question concerning IFSO
- assistance in organizing an Int. Fire Brigade Rally
- collecting addresses of fire brigades and similar important information
- exchange of information
- information centre to chairmanship and conference of delegates
- collecting written applications for the Int. Fire Brigade Rally
- financial management of IFSO
Financing instruments
Each Fire Brigade organizing an Int. Fire Brigade Rally has to pay after the rally an amount fixed by the chairmanship to the permant office for its financial obligations.
to 3): Conference of delegates Formation
- First chairman is nominated by the actual organizing Fire Brigade
- Second Chairman is nominated by the Fire Brigade who organized the past rally
- Third Chairman is nominated by the Fire Brigade who will organize the next rally
- Krumpendorf Fire Brigade as founder of the rallies has the right to nominate two additional delegates
- Each organizer of an Int. Fire Brigade Rally has the right to nominate two delegates
- Each Fire Brigade (or similar organization) taking part in the actual rally with at least six participants has the right to nominate one delegate.
- Some special participants will be named by the chairmanship.
All these delegates have the right of voting in the conference of delegates.

- Presentation of the following organizer of the Int. Fire Brigade Rally
- Presentation of the Fire Brigades which will apply for organizing a rally in the next years
- election of the Fire Brigade who will organize the rally two years after (simple majority)
Article III – general regulations for realization of an Int. Fire Brigade Rally
1) Every Fire Brigade of the world may apply to organize a rally
2) How to get the right to organize such a rally:
a) Request in writing to the permanent office of IFSO. This request includes the acceptance of the present statutes and the duty to pay an amount (fixed by the chairmanship) to the permanant office of IFSO.
b) The chairmanship presents the requests to the conference of delegates
c) The conference of delegates votes about the requests
d) The candidate which wants to organize an Int. Fire Brigade Rally declares to have established a general liability insurance during the rally
e) Accommodation for the participants of a rally should be numerous and near the centre of the event
f) The organizing Fire Brigade fixes the prices for participation, attendance fee and accommodation with the best possible terms
g) The program of an Int. Fire Brigade Rally always has to contain:
– sportive competitions (at least three)
– technical lectures
– conference of delegates
– opening ceremony
– performance of a fire drill
NOTE:
This statute was not installed to incorporate a public or private corporation. Fire Brigades who take part in an Int. Fire Brigade Rally accept this statute and take care of their own insurance.
